GIlbert & Sutherland Pty Ltd employs a multidisciplinary approach to identify, assess and manage environmental challenges and opportunities. Our expertise in soil, water, agriculture and the environment covers field assessment and investigation, detailed analysis, strategic advice and careful reporting in accordance with client and statutory requirements.
Our firm charges its services on the basis of professional hourly rates plus reasonable expenses. Our policy is to provide cost estimates tailored to the specific needs of the client. Our estimates provide an indicative scope of works and an indication of the likely cost of the works in accordance with our terms of engagement and schedule of charges. Where a client seeks an estimate for more than one task, we strive to identify economies in the client’s favour from undertaking all works concurrently.
Written estimates provided by Gilbert & Sutherland are valid for 90 days or as otherwise agreed. A copy of our current terms and conditions of engagement (which is subject to changes without notice) is issued with each estimate. A deposit equivalent to 25% of the estimate total is required upon commissioning. At its sole discretion, Gilbert & Sutherland may offer pre-approved clients scheduled payment terms, a monthly account on 30-day terms or other terms as agreed.
Environmental assessment and advice involves uncertainty. As works progress, uncertainty generally diminishes. As information becomes available, our anticipated scope of works and cost estimates may require revision or amendment. Our policy is to advise our clients when we identify a potential cost saving or a need for new and/or different works and to seek their instructions accordingly. This may require a variation to our estimates or new estimates.
Gilbert & Sutherland welcomes your enquiries including pricing policy and account establishment requirements.
